Job Summary
At Livingston International, we’re transforming how freight moves across borders. As a market leader in customs brokerage, trade consulting, and freight forwarding, we're focused on growing our Global Forwarding business through innovation, service excellence, and operational transformation.
We’re looking for a bold, change-minded leader to join us as Vice President, US Global Forwarding Operations. This is a pivotal role that will drive strategy, lead national freight operations, and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence and sustainable growth.
What You’ll Do
- Champion operational transformation to increase efficiency, elevate service delivery, and drive long-term growth.
- Lead all national Global Forwarding branch operations, ensuring scalable, high-quality execution and customer satisfaction.
- Define and communicate a clear strategic vision (2–3 years) aligned with Livingston’s overall business objectives.
- Conduct regular SWOT analyses to identify risks and opportunities, then develop and execute plans to act on them.
- Set ambitious KPIs and empower teams to exceed targets.
- Own national P&L performance — including revenue, EBITDA, and free cash flow.
- Develop and implement operational policies that support innovation, consistency, and a high-performance culture.
- Improve logistics services in the areas of execution, reliability, and responsiveness to customer needs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, and accountability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align business priorities and deliver integrated solutions across Livingston.
- Strengthen partnerships with customers, agents, and vendors to maintain high service levels and unlock new opportunities.
- Build a high-performing leadership team through regular feedback, coaching, and development conversations.
- Mentor 8–10 direct reports and lead a growing national freight team with agility and vision.
- Embrace and model Livingston’s values across all levels of the organization.
What You Bring
- Minimum 10 years of progressive management experience with a freight forwarder or ocean carrier.
- Proven success in leading large-scale operations, P&L ownership, and strategy execution.
- Experience in budgeting, business development, and leading transformation initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of U.S./Canadian customs regulations and the global freight landscape.
- Familiarity with Livingston applications and services is a strong asset.
- Track record of change leadership — you inspire teams, lead through ambiguity, and foster adaptability.
- Financial acumen and experience managing profitability and growth at the national level.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence, align stakeholders, and lead at the executive level.
- A growth mindset and passion for continuous learning, improvement, and innovation.
