JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Compensation plays a key role as a strategic partner to the business by designing, implementing, and managing competitive compensation programs globally, that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. The Manager, Compensation, with the support of one direct report (Compensation Analyst), will drive change and recommend comprehensive approaches to compensation while engaging in collaborative decision-making.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and manage global compensation programs, policies, and practices, and ensure they are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
- Participate in the development of HR and Compensation strategies.
- Design and manage incentive compensation programs.
- Oversee regular market research and benchmarking to ensure that our compensation offering remain competitive; Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure competitive and up to date compensation packages for new hires.
- Deliver high-level service and provide guidance and support to HR and management teams on compensation-related issues, including job evaluations, promotions, and other compensation adjustments.
- Oversee the annual salary review and bonus processes, ensuring consistency, equity, and alignment with company goals and budgetary guidelines.
- Stay current on regional market trends and legal requirements to support the company’s overall compensation strategy.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of compensation principles, concepts, and best practices, including base pay, variable pay, and commission compensation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of compensation planning, market benchmarking surveys, pay equity, incentive plans, understanding market trends, and job evaluation.
- Strong ability to influence.
- Advanced skills in Excel and HR Information Systems.
- Solid grasp of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations where applicable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across the organization on complex compensation topics, as well as negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
- Exceptional analytical and proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
