JOB SUMMARY

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with business unit leader(s) and/or senior management to provide financial guidance and support in interpreting and analyzing financial and business issues which includes driving operating performance, delivering on business initiatives, growth and profitability while ensuring compliance to accounting principles and corporate governance.
- Propose and influence alternate financial and business solutions which link to the business strategies to the operational units and annual operating/performance plans.
- Prepare monthly reporting of key financial information for assigned business unit(s) in a timely manner.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis, when requested.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial closure as well as supporting narrative to financial statements.
- Prepare and distribute financial reporting packages to assigned business unit leader(s) and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and financial reporting requirements.
- Work with other finance staff to analyze and determine variance and business trends. Propose solutions, potential savings or actions to mitigate business trends.
- Liaise with internal and external auditor. Respond to requests for information and reports.
- Recommend policies improvement in accordance to financial reporting requirements.
- Participate and/or may lead projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data at a macro and micro level
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think three steps ahead
- Ability to work independently with business leaders and without much supervision
- Ability to take initiative and constructively challenge the status quo to improve processes
- Experience working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and prioritizing various deliverables
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of the business environment
- Ability to clearly understand the business objectives and link the financial results/data to operational performance drivers
- Advanced knowledge in MS Excel; Hyperion experience strongly preferred;
