JOB SUMMARY

As the Director of Technology, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of business solutions for our Global Trade Management group. You'll drive planning and design, implementation and ongoing support- ensuring every solution aligns with the departments goals and organizational objectives. Lead and foster a team of Technology leaders, Product Owners/Managers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, UX Designers, Software Engineers (front-end, middleware, backend, UI, BI), Solution Architects, Quality Assurance Engineers/Testers, including external service providers and vendor resources across the globe.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Building an Integrated Technology Roadmap

  • Creates, oversees, and executes a comprehensive technology roadmap that integrates GTM business unit plans and supports strategic and operational priorities.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership and GTM Business Unit leaders to determine and prioritize technology needs and enhancements for business operations.
  • Enterprise application and solution support.
  • Oversees business solution support to ensure technology is operational, fulfills customer requirements, and enhances operational efficiency.

Delivery of Strategic Projects and Critical Investments

  • Works with business leaders to identify, convert, and assess significant change ideas and initiatives into basic elements and specific components. Clarifies business requirements, identifies potential gaps or obstacles in developing, procuring, and implementing desired solutions (including cost constraints, related processes, and interconnections with other systems), and recommends project design revisions necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Ideation & Innovation
  • Supports GTM’s strategic objectives by researching and identifying technologies aimed at increasing sales, delivering operational efficiencies, cost savings, productivity improvements, and customer service enhancements.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • A leader with a proven history of empowering teams and successfully attracting and retaining a highly diverse and talented workforce.
  • Expertise in business process re-engineering
  • Proven expertise in the successful implementation of system solutions, products, and technology, with a primary emphasis on relationship management.
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing and managing technology delivery and execution in a complex, fast paced and dynamic environment.

WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED

8 years of progressive experience
Team management experience

EDUCATION

Preferred: Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Information Systems or Business
