JOB SUMMARY

The PGA Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting internal and external clients with the interpretation, guidance and application of regulations, policy and procedures related to Participating Government Agencies (“PGA”) and US Customs and Border Protection (“CBP”). 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on PGA and CBP technical and compliance requirements for internal and external clients. This includes but not limited to:
    • Research and interpret PGA and CBP requirements to advise internal and external clients on correct application;
    • Respond and assist internal and external clients with their inquiries or requests; troubleshoot and resolve client’s issues in a timely manner and escalate complex issues or inquiries to the PGA Compliance Supervisor. 
    • Provide guidance and training to internal staff on proper PGA requirements.  
  • Keep current, review, interpret and analyze CBP and PGA issued technical guides and regulatory resources to determine regulatory changes impacting Livingston’s clients and shippers; report and recommend changes affecting laws and regulations to the PGA Compliance Advisor. 
  • Review product additions to account data bases for new and existing clients with PGA regulated products; and assist Client Service team with the product additions as necessary.  
  • Act as the technical and regulatory information resource for PGA data transmission, and provide direction and advice to Livingston staff. 
  • Identify and understand data errors to determine the source of issue i.e. user, software application, CBP or PGA data, and troubleshoot as necessary. Maintain operational expertise in applicable process and software applications. 
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation/user manuals for use by appropriate business unit. Suggest items to review in training business units on new PGA requirements. 
  • Liaise with various regulatory agencies at the operational level to clarify regulatory requirements; resolve technical issues and/or obtain and confirm information regarding changes to policies and procedures.
  • Participate as project team member ensuring Livingston and clients comply with U.S. regulatory and procedural requirements. 
  • Participate as subject matter experts on cross-functional teams as needed
  • Assist the PGA Compliance Advisor with departmental and operational policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED

2 years of related experience

EDUCATION

Required: High School/GED or equivalent
