JOB SUMMARY
As a Sr. Trade Analyst, this role is primarily focused on creating thorough, compliant, and detailed HS and ECCN classifications. Work in conjunction with the direct management, client teams, and external parties to meet and exceed client deliverables. This is a remote role and must be able to work independently.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize Trade Applications & Software to analyze import and/or export data to perform detailed HS & ECCN Classification
- Monitor and adhere to changing priorities as required by the Client(s), Customs and other regulatory bodies, and management
- Interact with internal and external parties including other Livingston employees, clients, brokers, freight forwarders and carriers
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
- Respond to inquiries from customers, brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, US Customs and other regulatory bodies
- Audit Trade Analyst work for quality and compliance
- Develop and deliver desk side training to Trade Analysts
- Contribute to process development and improvement
- Assist Manager in daily workflow oversight and management
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- At least 3 years of experience with a developed level of expertise in Import HS Classification and Export ECCN Classification. Strong ECCN Classification preferred
- Firm understanding of the meaning and application of the following: GRIs; Section and Chapter Notes; Customs Rulings and Explanatory Notes
- Superior communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- The ability to analyze and solve problems quickly
- Excellent customer service skills
- The ability to set and manage priorities to meet all deadlines
