The Senior Manager, BI and Analytics leads a team responsible for the development and delivery of ongoing reporting needs (ad-hoc reporting and analytics) as well as the subsequent standardization, consolidation & centralization within a BI platform with the ultimate goal being to support business analysis / deliver insights as well as implementation of data solutions to mitigate the need for current non-standard user created solutions. This Senior Manager works with the leaders of all other facets of the transformation team to continuously define, improve and deliver the optimal work environment for operational users as well as our clients. 


  • Manage the day-to-day operational activities of the BI and Analytics team
  • Provide training, mentoring and guidance to both direct reports as well as operational consumers of BI and Analytics
  • Work with external vendors on contractor selection
  • Make recommendations on required tools and technology
  • Monitor system performance and work with IT resources to resolve issues
  • Work with operational leaders to create a more standardized approach/templates to reports including the content, look and delivery
  • Merge common reports and rollout the new solution to all impacted users
  • Optimize data extraction from production systems to improve report performance as well as overall user experience
  • Develop reports in a variety of systems
    • May include current legacy user created tools (MS Access etc.)
    • Utilize enterprise platforms for report creation where possible (Qlik, Power BI)
  • Provide explanations on the data delivered to end users and work through discrepancies
  • Actively participate in testing of new BI tools and related/underlying data feed
  • Engage with Leadership team to understand complex business questions and advocate for best practices in data management
  • Analyze the data returned, identity discrepancies and present final analyses
  • Leverage and consolidate multiple disparate data sources to build a cohesive analysis with the goal being to work with a team to make business recommendations


  • Knowledge of agile systems development, business intelligence and analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to understand business and system requirements.
  • Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, MS Access, Power BI or Qlik
  • Global trade knowledge 


10 + years of progressive experience
Team management experience


Required: Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Business or Technology
