JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Foreign Trade Zone, will be responsible for leading our FTZ team performing full service brokerage FTZ operations for our client base. Livingston’s FTZ operations is a key growth pillar and in support of the Director, U.S. Customs Brokerage you will lead the charge.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Ensure all incoming shipments are received, prioritized, and completed in a manner that meets or exceeds client expectations
•    Lead the team on a day-to-day basis. Responsible for daily and weekly FTZ site processing including:
     214 filings into FTZs
     Inventory management and updates
     Weekly FTZ entries (estimates and actuals)
     Associated moves from ports to foreign trade zones
•    Engage with customers to foster strong relationships and provide clarity in expectations and outcomes
•    Serve as a technical expert to internal and external stakeholders and provide solutions to problems
•    Structure a staffing and scheduling plan that ensures the operation is in position for success 
•    Capture and calculate data that measures performance in the areas of service, productivity, and quality
•    Coach, counsel, and mentor the team to facilitate a positive and successful environment, as well as individual growth and development
•    Maintain and develop work standards for the team and facilitate training to address areas of noncompliance
•    Troubleshoot challenges and liaise with internal and external parties to successfully deliver solutions

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

•    2+ years of supervisory experience 
•    3+ years of brokerage, logistics, or supply chain experience 
•    1+ years of experiencing managing or working with a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ)
•    Licensed Customs Broker preferred, but not mandatory
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong organizational skills and strict attention to detail
•    Ability to multi-task and prioritize
•    High analytical ability
•    Individual and team facilitation skills, including conflict resolution
•    Technical skills (Customs Regulations and Procedures, Industry knowledge and experience, PC skills)

EDUCATION

Required: High School/GED or equivalent
Preferred: Bachelors Degree or equivalent
