JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Customs & Trade Advisor must be capable of interfacing with all levels of a client environment from senior executive management to operational employees to build, maintain and grow relationships with clients. Strong regulatory, analytical, financial, business communication and organizational skills are required while meeting all consulting deliverables.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for generating new revenue for the company.
- Consults with Livingston clients and non-clients through meetings, telephone, or correspondence regarding all above-mentioned phases of customs laws and regulations, present, new, or proposed. This would include advise and representation on appeals Border Services Agency, Regional or Headquarters level as well as appeals and presentations to dispute settlement tribunals.
- Manage consulting client engagements in a client facing role.
- Develop and deliver winning proposals.
- Show initiative to do special projects, recognize issues, identify gaps, suggest solutions and oversee projects.
- Development and presentation of seminars and preparation of articles on items of interest to the importing community.
- Seek opportunities to make the Livingston Consulting Group known to Livingston clients and non-clients and promote Livingston International Consulting Group as the leader in customs consulting services.
- Manages, plans, and directs client projects and activities.
- Assist in the development of sales and marketing plans.
- Assist in the forecasting and budgeting of the compliance group.
- Preparation of consulting proposals (compliance, FTA, valuation, etc.) to potential clients.
- Preparation and presentation of business development opportunities/seminars to potential clients.

- Commercial acumen to attract and retaining clients and generate revenues. Self-starter.

- Excellent knowledge of customs and relevant legislation.
