JOB SUMMARY
The People Business Partner embeds People and Culture strategy, delivering HR guidance, and support tailored to the organization and harmonized across Livingston. This role ensures people strategies are tightly aligned with business goals. It involves delivering counsel across key HR areas-including employee engagement, workforce initiatives, and employee relations to help elevate organizational performance and drive meaningful impact. Must be in the office atleast 2 days a week.
We’re seeking an agile, forward-thinking HR Partner who thrives in dynamic environments and experience working with teams in U.S. and Canada. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of:
• Advising and influencing senior leadership, not just supporting decisions but shaping them
• Driving organizational transformation, with a deep understanding of how change impacts both business strategy and employee experience
• Navigating complexity with empathy and clarity, helping teams adapt while maintaining engagement and trust
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the creation and delivery of strategic people plans in line with our business strategy and to build organizational and people capability.
- Work closely and collaboratively with Global Functions (Talent, Services and Culture) to advise and guide the business on appropriate core people processes and activities, in line with Livingston’s global People Calendar.
- Provide management information and insights to enable effective management of people, cost, and risk.
- Support line management in forecasting and planning the talent pipeline requirements in line with the function/business strategy
- Implement appropriate learning interventions while accounting for learning principles and theories and manage ongoing delivery
- Facilitate line of sight initiatives to build a high-performing organization aligned with the strategic leadership agenda
- Ensure leadership and coaching culture is cascaded through the organization
- Drive the people processes (performance, development, and career) to ensure that employees’ level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards
- Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational plan as well as participating in functional and cross-functional initiatives
- Develop and promote feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes
- Implement HR policies and reward strategy to ensure that all reward decisions are fair and objective
- Provide expert advice, coaching and partnership to line managers and employees where appropriate
- Understand employee opinions and anticipate their needs and concerns
- Maintain close contact with the area HR team to work in synchronization with the other business units
- Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve the HR policies and initiatives to enhance overall business performance.
- Identify and drive the communication and sharing of learning across functions to facilitate continuous improvement
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Proven experience of operating as a HR Business Partner at a senior level, overseeing the full employee lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of employment standards across US and Canada
- Ability to think beyond the HR function and contribute to the overall success of the organization
- Solid understanding of individual motivation principles and organizational behavior; ability to successfully manage organizational change, strategic thinker
- Demonstrated relationship building skills with all levels of management along with the ability to influence decision making in a consultative manner
- Strong conflict resolution skills; excellent research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities to ensure problems, complaints, and inquiries are handled tactfully, effectively and promptly; ability to recommend win-win solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills including consensus and coalition-building
- Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication (written and oral) skills
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively with minimal supervision
