ABOUT THE ROLE
Livingston International is launching a GIG Worker Program to bring flexibility, agility, and on-demand expertise to our teams. We’re looking for a GIG Release Customs Analyst to support U.S. Customs Solutions on a temporary, part-time basis (up to 20 hours per week). This is a great opportunity for self-motivated individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and want to contribute to critical operations while maintaining a flexible schedule.
As a GIG Release Customs Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring shipments move efficiently through customs, helping clients receive their goods on time, and supporting the overall success of our operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assist with the accurate processing and release of client shipments across multiple transportation modes.
- Review documentation, create customs entries, and ensure compliance with Livingston’s procedures and client requirements.
- Perform data entry for shipment release, rating, and billing, making sure all details are accurate.
- Communicate with internal teams or clients to resolve missing documentation or shipment questions.
- Follow SOPs, ESPs, and business rules; flag outdated processes and recommend improvements.
- Support client inquiries professionally via email or phone.
- Escalate complex or exception cases to managers or specialized teams.
- Participate collaboratively with the Release Operations team and leverage automation tools where available.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and help enhance client service efficiency.
WHAT YOU BRING

- Professional communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High school diploma/GED required; post-secondary education or customs-related certifications preferred.
GIG WORKER PROGRAM DETAILS
- Part-time, flexible hours — up to 20 hours per week.

WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED
EDUCATION
CERTIFICATIONS DESCRIPTION
Working towards/or successful completion of the Certified Customs Specialists (CCS) designation with the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB) or the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) is a requirement, if not already obtained.
Successful completion of the CCS examination is a mandatory requirement for further advancement.
