JOB SUMMARY

Livingston International is North America’s number one company focused on customs brokerage and compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Livingston eCommerce team, based in Itasca, IL. Reporting to the Director of eCommerce, this position is responsible for leading a high volume, fast paced operations team that provides release services for eCommerce shipments. 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team that will oversee the release entry and billing of high volumes of import shipments
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance and data quality
  • Effectively classify a high volume of import shipments daily utilizing the USHTS to determine an accurate classification for each commodity
  • Ensure all incoming requests are received, prioritized, and completed in a manner that delivers an exceptional client experience
  • Structure a staffing and scheduling plan that ensures the department is in position for success
  • Ensures accurate and timely release and classification of shipments
  • Capture and calculate data that measures performance in the areas of service, productivity, and quality
  • Coach, counsel, and mentor the associates in the department to facilitate a positive and successful team as well as individual growth and development
  • Maintain and develop work standards and metrics for the team and facilitate training to address areas of noncompliance
  • Troubleshoot challenges and liaise with internal and external parties to successfully deliver solutions
  • Provide technical expertise on customs regulations

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Extensive experience classifying a wide range of commodities such as, but not limited to apparel, electronics, jewelry, cosmetics, and toys
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of brokerage, logistics, or supply chain experience preferred
  • Fully conversant with all applicable Customs laws, regulations, procedures, and industry practices
  • Strong organizational skills and strict attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • High analytical ability
  • Individual and team facilitation skills, including conflict resolution
  • Technical skills and fully conversant with all applicable Customs Laws, Regulations and Procedures, Industry knowledge and experience, PC skills
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED

3 years of related experience

EDUCATION

Required: High School/GED or equivalent
