POSITION SNAPSHOT

We are looking for a IT Manager to lead our support team initiatives, ensuring we provide top tier support to our people and clients. You will manage and coordinate IT activities throughout all phases of the infrastructure lifecycle, while working directly with the IT management team to help establish and manage a roadmap.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Oversee the management of infrastructure. This includes installation, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades to software to ensure optimal performance and minimize service interruptions.  
  • Work with ITSM team and provide direction on ways to improve the overall support of Livingston environments and users. 
  • Manage queue of project intakes and other enhancement requests from the business, including prioritizing based on business impact and importance.
  • Manage queue of internal tracking of items that need to be addressed related to assigned applications, including prioritizing within IT based on both business and IT impact/risk/priorities.
  • Address and manage complex issues to resolution working with vendors and IT colleagues. Ensure staff respond and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.  Escalate when necessary.
  • Ensure assigned systems are properly monitored and manage appropriate adjustments to mitigate reoccurring issues and/or associated impact to the business.
  • Oversee and assign projects to staff to lead and/or participate as a project team member. Guide and support project team members to meet project goals and timelines.
  • Create and/or review business requirements documents including solution definition, cost estimates, and timelines. Create and/or review functional requirements specifications as necessary.
  • Recommend and manage continual improvement initiatives for assigned systems and IT procedures and standards. Ensure all processes meet the standards of the department.  
  • Coordinate remediation actions for any identified security vulnerabilities.
  • Work closely with staff, other IT groups and vendors. Provide ongoing status reports or issues on assigned systems to key stakeholders.

  • Provide leadership for designing and enhancing processes, resources and training to help reskill and upskill employees, and enable meaningful growth and career development. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Knowledge of Information Technology and it’s applications.
  • Strong understanding of corporate systems including envrionments like virtualization, Windows, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Messaging and Collaboration, Commvault, Storage solutions, Security Solutions, Active Directory, AWS infrastructure, some linux.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others, while getting things done
  • Strong people management skills, including leading, performance management, mentoring, coaching and development.
  • Project Management skills including experience in managing all phases of the project lifecycle; certification desired but not required.
  • Effective decision-making and judgment with a sense of urgency and a proactive approach.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to partner with multiple, diverse stakeholders in an authentic and empathetic way.
  • Outstanding problem-solver who exhibits excellent project management and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective feedback and coaching skills, in personal and virtual environment.
  • Ability to assess the situation, determine level of impact to the business and prioritize accordingly.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to all levels in the organization including leadership and employees. 

WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED

10 + years of progressive experience

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Information Systems
