JOB SUMMARY
The Regulatory Analyst reviews and analyzes source materials from Customs authorities, trade associations, and other publications to identify information relevant to the compliance obligations of Livingston International, Inc. The Analyst monitors and tracks applicable regulatory developments and carries out assigned responsibilities to support and manage the company’s compliance program.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and analyze changes in regulations/trade initiatives to identify the overall impact on the company or its clients.
- Provide directions and assistance with existing CBSA and PGA requirements to all internal Livingston business units.
- Build and maintain close relationships with government agencies, departments and associations, to obtain information and insight to pending legislation and operational process changes.
- Support other departments in developing new policies and procedures impacting operations.
- Manage projects that the Director, Regulatory Affairs determines support the external compliance program that ensures Livingston and its clients comply with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Working knowledge of Customs regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in selecting and interpreting information.
- Good interpersonal skills with excellent analytical skills
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Ability to handle stress and occasional tight deadlines associated with regulatory changes.
